FOX16 received a call this morning from a student claiming he and others had not gotten their tuition reimbursement.
The student said they were called into an emergency meeting last week. He says they were told the school was in the middle of dealing with staff changes in the financial aid office, they did not have to withdraw and their fall tuition reimbursement could be used if need be.
However we spoke to Shorter College President Jerome Green, who says there is no issue with financial aid at Shorter College.
"Everyone who is eligible for financial aid for the summer has either received it, or will receive it according to their scheduled disbursement date, any student who has not received their financial aid, has already used up their eligibility for the fall and the spring," says Green.
Green says they did have some changes in the financial aid office but they have since been resolved. He said students who did not receive financial aid this summer, Shorter College will give them scholarships to pay for school and even give them a $50 rebate for attending summer school.
