Four Arrested in Lawrence Co. Drug Investigation

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR - Four people have been arrested in a drug investigation by the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office (LCSO).

The LCSO says they were taken into custody late last week following a probe of several weeks during which deputies made undercover buys, conducted surveillance, and followed up on tips from concerned citizens. 

The suspects are identified as:
  • Candice Bennett, 41, of Walnut Ridge. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia. 
  • Markus Ellison, 45, of Walnut Ridge. He is charged with delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana).
  • Ray Fry, 42, of Imboden. He is charged with delivery of a controlled substance (Rx drugs)
  • Todd Jayce Matthews, 23, of Walnut Ridge. He is charged with delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana).
All four were taken to the Lawrence County Jail to await bond hearings.
