Fox is whipping up a big schedule switcheroo.

The network is moving Rake to Fridays beginning March 14, and replacing Greg Kinnear's low-rated legal drama on Thursdays with the new season of Hell's Kitchen, the network announced Monday.

American Idol: Meet the 13 finalists

Season 12 of Hell's Kitchen will now premiere on Thursday, March 13 at 8/7c, followed by the American Idol results show (9/8c). Rake will then air new episodes on Friday at 8/7c beginning the following day.

The Thursday move means that American Idol will air an hour later than usual, throughout the current season. This also pushes back the premiere of Chris Meloni's new comedy Surviving Jack by an hour to March 27 at 9:30/8:30c, following the Idol results show, which will be reduced to a half hour on that day.

Are you sad Rake is moving to Fridays? Are you excited for the return of Hell's Kitchen?
