Fox Orders Jerry Bruckheimer Drama Home

Fox has given a series prototype order to Home from Jerry Bruckheimer, has learned.

The family thriller delves into the secrets lingering behind the façade of a suburban family. Additional scripts have been ordered beyond the pilot, putting the network in position for a fast transition to series production. These atypical pilot orders come on the heels of Fox boss Kevin Reilly declaring pilot season dead at the winter press tour.

CSI's Bruckheimer will executive-produce the drama with Jonathan Littman and Heroes' Aron Eli Coleite, who will write. KristieAnne Reed will also co-executive-produce.

At the network, Red Band Society, starring Octavia Spencer, was also given a series prototype order, while Batman prequel Gotham has a series commitment.Backstrom and Hieroglyph were ordered straight-to-series. Empire has a pilot order with an eye toward series commitment, The Middle Man was ordered with backup scripts, and Runner was given an off-cycle commitment with an eye toward series production in the summer.
