Guilty Verdict for Former UCA Official in Stolen Tests Case

VAN BUREN COUNTY, AR - Former UCA official Jack Gillean has been convicted in a trial centering on stolen exams, according to the Log Cabin Democrat.

The jury deliberated for about an hour-and-a-half before announcing the verdict of guilty on all counts shortly after noon.

Jack Gillean, 57, had been accused of commercial burglary in the 2012 thefts of college exams from the offices of UCA professors.

Prosecutors had said they believed he gave then student Cameron Stark master keys to steal the tests.
