LITTLE ROCK, AR - Downpours led to flash flooding in parts of central Arkansas on Sunday night and Monday morning.

Officials at Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock informed students via e-mail and text alerts that the science building on campus closed Monday due to heavy rains.

"It's a mess, it's a disappointing kind of situation cause we've got just about three weeks left in the semester," Tim Jones with Pulaski Tech says.

Clean up crews spent Monday vacuuming up water and placing dryers on the first floor of the building.

PTC expects the science building to reopen on Tuesday.
