FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Veterans Day is tomorrow, but the VA Hospital in Fayetteville is celebrating today with a very special guest.
104-year-old Pearl Harbor survivor and Korean War Veteran Jim Downing was honored.
Downing is one of more than 25 million veterans who've served our nation since 1775.
"It's a great privilege to have men of that caliber that are still with us and that are still willing, in some form or fashion to serve our country," Commander Chuck Adkins, Military Order of the Purple Heart Department of Arkansas.
The commander says he hopes the message from Downing inspires the young cadets attending the event.
