2 Arrested in Valentine's Day Murder, Robbery in NLR Motel Parking Lot

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a deadly shooting on Feb. 14 that claimed the life of a Missouri man.

They are identified as Chester Lee Smith, 22, of Little Rock and Nathaniel Clark, 25, of Sherwood.

Police say Jessee Arthur was shot and killed around 3:25 a.m. during a robbery outside the Super 8 Motel on McCain Park Drive.

Smith and Clark are both charged with Capital Murder and Aggravated Robbery. They are being held at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Police have identified the man killed in an early morning shooting at a local motel.

Police say the victim is Jessee Wade Arthur, 26, of Springfield, Missouri.

The North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD) said the shooting happened in the parking lot of the Super 8 on McCain Park Drive.

Officers say they were called to the scene around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and found Arthur lying on the ground.

NLRPD detectives were called in to process the scene for evidence.

The North Little Rock Police Department says officers were called to the Super 8 on McCain Park Drive early Tuesday morning.

The motel is located in an area behind McCain Mall.

Police have not yet confirmed any injuries.
