GARLAND COUNTY, Ark. - Two arrests have been made in the Aug. 22 shooting death of a local man.
The Garland County Sheriff's Office says Timothy Chase Humphries, 22, died after being taken to the hospital from the scene at 509 Lakeland Drive Lot 10.
The suspects were taken into custody on Tuesday. They are identified as Tyler McKisick and Gerrard Wells, both 19. They each face a Capital Murder charge.
The GCSO says before McKisick was arrested, he was under surveillance as he rode in a vehicle. Officials say that vehicle kept going after an attempted traffic stop and the driver and passenger later jumped out and tried to run away. Investigators were able to catch both and find three firearms along with a small amount of narcotics.
The firearms will be sent to the State Crime lab for analysis in relation to the homicide, the GCSO said.
