2 Commercial Flights Make Emergency Landings at Clinton National Airport

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Two commercial flights had to make emergency landings at Clinton National Airport in Little Rock Sunday (4/2).

According to airport officials one of the flights lost all avionics on it's way to Columbus Ohio. 

United flight 4340 from Houston, landed just before 5 p.m.

The second was American flight 3339 on its way to Dallas from Destin-Fort Walton Beach that had to divert because of an electrical odor in the cabin.

American Airlines sent this statement:

American Airlines flight 3339 from Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) diverted to Little Rock (LIT) due to a mechanical issue - an electrical odor in the cabin. The aircraft landed safely and taxied to the gate. Our maintenance team is currently evaluating the aircraft. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience, and are working to get them to Dallas-Fort Worth as soon as possible.

Both flights landed without incident.
