What: A three-day shopping extravaganza. Start looking for Christmas gifts at one of the largest holiday shopping events in Arkansas. There will be a Girls Nite Out from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, general shopping during the day Friday and Saturday and a Teddy Bear Clinic and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus for the kids. Proceeds from the event support Conway Regional Medical Center. A weekend general admission pass costs $5 in advance.
2017 Museum School Sale
Who: Arkansas Arts Center Museum School Sale
When: Arkansas Arts Center Members are invited to a Members-Only Preview Party from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, November 17. Membership cards are required for admission. The sale is open to the public on Saturday, November 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
Where: Arkansas State Fairgrounds Hall of Industry. There will be free secured parking.
What: Find the perfect gift, start your art collection and support local artists at the annual Museum School Sale. Shop a variety of items, all made by Museum School students and faculty.
Holiday Lights At Garvan Woodland Gardens
Who: Garvan Woodland Gardens
Where: 550 Arkridge Rd. In Hot Springs
When: November 18 at 6 p.m.
What: See 4.5 million brilliant bulbs transform 17 acres into a memorable animated holiday display in one of Arkansas’ most anticipated events. The Village Big Band kicks off the Holiday Lights season with an entertaining concert of seasonal tunes. The concert on Saturday is free and open to the public.
After the initial opening, the light display will be open 5 to 9 p.m. daily until December 31, 2017. Gates open at 3 p.m. The park will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 ages 4-12 and free for kids 3 and under. No dogs are allowed during Holiday Lights.
“Alton Brown Live: Eat Your Science”
Who: Food Network star Alton Brown
When: Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.
Where: Robinson Center, 426 West Markham St., Little Rock, AR, 72201
What: Fans of the “Cutthroat Kitchen” host can expect a mix of science, music and food and two hours of pure entertainment. “Plus,” says Brown, “You’ll see things I’ve never been allowed to do on TV.”
