HOT SPRINGS, Ark.- Authorities have arrested one man in connection to a Wednesday afternoon Bank Robbery.
Police say that, Henry Smith, 66, was located within minutes of allegedly robbing Citizen's Bank in Hot Springs on Wednesday.
According to reports, the incident began , at approximately 2:45 p.m. along the 100 block of Airport Road.
There a black male allegedly entered the bank and approached a teller. Police say that the suspect then placed a black drawstring bag on the counter, stated he had a gun and demanded money to be placed into his bag. The teller then gave the suspect a disclosed amount of money and the suspect fled the bank.
Officer were able to find Smith near the 1600 block of Albert Pike Road and he was allegedly in possession of the black drawstring bag and money stolen from Citizen’s Bank.
Smith later admitted to authorities that he robbed the bank.
He is currently being charged for Aggravated Robbery and Theft of Property.
