Bentonville High Student Arrested for Making Threats

BENTONVILLE, Ark.- A high school sophomore was arrested at Bentonville High School on Wednesday in connection to making threats against the school.

Police say a handwritten note was found in a restroom at Bentonville High School, threatening to use a gun on campus. 

Investigators and faculty later found a second threatening note.

Police say no weapons were found on campus, or on the student.

The student faces 1st Degree Terroristic Threatening. 

The district released this statement: "These situations occur in schools across the nation, unfortunately. We'll continue to respond with a zero-tolerance policy, considering both expulsion and felony criminal charges for any student found in violation."

This is the 22nd Arkansas student arrested in connection to making threats against schools.
