Big Donation for Teen Room Renovation at Arkansas Children's Hospital

JACKSONVILLE, Ark.  - A local financial institution is donating more than $100,000 to Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH).

Arkansas Federal Credit Union (AFCU) is giving ACH a check for $101,619 to help fund renovation work on its Teen Room.

On Thursday (Feb. 1), a check presentation ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. in the Main Lobby Train Room at ACH.

This year’s donation is the first of a five-year commitment for AFCU to ACH.

The Teen Room at Arkansas Children’s Hospital has not been renovated for decades and is currently outdated. Renovations will ensure a teen friendly place where patients 12 and older can engage with peers, enjoy teenage related activities and find a sense of normalcy during their stay.

Since 1998, AFCU has contributed more than $1 million dollars to Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
