Deadly Wrong Way I-30 Crash in Hempstead County

HEMPSTEAD COUNTY, Ark. - An Arkadelphia man has died in a wrong way crash on Interstate 30.

It happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. Monday in Hempstead County in driving conditions described as foggy and wet. 

The Arkansas State Police preliminary accident report identifies the victim as Kevin Taylor, Sr., 61.

Troopers say Taylor was driving a 2000 Chevrolet pickup east with the headlights off when he collided with a westbound 2015 Freightliner tractor trailer.

Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.
