LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado hit Higginson at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday.
The storm in White County was on the ground for 1.5 miles and was 120 yards wide, the NWS said.
Four people were reported injured in Higginson but none had life-threatening injuries, according to the Searcy Police Department (SPD).
The SPD says four homes were destroyed in Higginson and 40 more have been damaged.
The National Weather Service also said Wednesday that an EF-2 tornado struck at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday in Kensett, which is also in White County.
