LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Early signs of autumn are appearing across the state.
If you are planning a road trip to take in the colorful scenery, a state tourism site can direct you to the best locations for fall foliage viewing.
The first day of fall was back on Sept. 22, and now you can keep track of the changing landscape every week online.
Throughout the season, fall color reports will be posted every Friday morning on Arkansas.com. A network of “spotters” keeps the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism website up-to-date on the changing color of the leaves.
The updates will give you the best dates on when the brightest yellows, burnt oranges, golds and deep crimsons are at their peak, making the Natural State a popular fall destination.
