FORT SMITH, Ark. - A Fort Smith man is doing his part to help kids enjoy the iconic summer pastime of riding their bicycles.
Wes Brown collects donated bicycles and fixes them up. Instead of selling them, he donates them to kids in the neighborhood. So far, he estimates he's given out 59 bikes to kids in need.
Why does he do it? Brown says it's all about the look of happiness on each child's face.
"Bicycles are expensive and days are hard. Some people, they got two or three kids, or even one kid, they can`t afford to buy bicycles all the time," Brown says.
Brown hopes his act of goodwill spreads and others join his cause.
