Gov. Hutchinson on Las Vegas Massacre

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Governor Asa Hutchinson is sharing his reaction to the Las Vegas shooting that left dozens dead Sunday night and more than 500 others injured.

What is being called the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history happened during an outdoor concert near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the famed Las Vegas Strip.

"It’s hard to fathom the horrific shooting in Las Vegas overnight, with more than 50 killed and hundreds more wounded. It was a senseless, murderous act, and my heart and prayers are with the families, as well as the first responders," Hutchinson said in a statement issued Monday afternoon. "This tragic incident reinforces and accelerates the necessity of effective security plans at major public events."
