Governor Discusses Children's Dental Health with Dentists at Capitol

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The governor met with dentists on Friday at the State Capitol.

They talked about children's dental health and conveying oral hygiene within schools.

According to the Office of the Surgeon General, more than 51 million schools hours are lost
each year to dental related conditions.

Dentists recommend countering that by following the two-two-two rule.

"We're capitalizing on Children's dental health month to do the educational part. To talk about the preventative thing that need to be done to avoid these problems in the first place," says Lindy Bollen, Jr. D.D.D.S Director of the Office of Oral Health.

Be sure and visit your dentist twice a year, brush and floss twice each day for two whole minutes.
