Governor Talks about the Impact of Bullying

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Arkansas School for the Deaf held a stop bullying assembly today. 

Staff, students, parents, and people from the community were among those in the crowd. 

Governor Asa Hutchinson was the special guest speaker at the event.

He talked briefly about his up bringing, the importance of earning an education and the negative impacts bullying can have on it. 

"I want to encourage you today to learn all you can here, don't bully and encourage each other to get a good education and it's it amazing what life has to offer to you," Gov. Asa Hutchinson said. 

Governor Hutchinson also showed off his sign language skills. 

An anti-bullying demonstration was performed by Mister and Miss School for the deaf, who were also honored as a part of the event.
