Harding Women Play Tuesday in NCAA Division II Elite Eight

SEARCY, Ark. - The Lady Bisons of Harding University will play as the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight tournament tonight against No. 5 seed Queens College.

The game is being played in Alumni Hall at Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio.

The Harding women's basketball team got into the tournament by winning the NCAA Division II Central Region championship earlier this month with a 58-56 comeback victory over Emporia State.

Tipoff is 7:30 p.m. Central.

Here's the full schedule for Tuesday, March 21:

  • #3 Columbus St. vs. #6 Virginia Union – 12 p.m.
  • #2 California Baptist vs. #7 West Florida – 2:30 p.m.
  • #1 Ashland vs. #8 West Texas A&M – 6 p.m.
  • #4 Harding vs. #5 Queens (N.Y.) – 8:30 p.m.

Harding will be playing in its first Elite Eight. The Lady Bisons are 30-3, the most victories in program history. Harding has won 16 straight games.

Queens is 27-4 overall and won the East Coast Conference regular season championship with a 17-1 record. The Knights lost in the semifinals of the ECC Tournament but won the East Regional in Garden City, N.Y.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Each day is its own session. All tournament tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.
