Man Shot in NLR Dies 4 Days Later

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A man who was shot early Saturday morning has died of his injuries.

The North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD) says the victim was identified as Harold Scott, 43, two days after the incident that happened at 110 Riverfront Park Drive.

The NLRPD sent out a news release Thursday which stated detectives were notified on Wednesday that Scott had died.

The release says officers were called to the scene shortly after midnight and found the victim lying on the ground with what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to his abdomen. He would not give officers his name or information on what happened or who shot him. He was taken to the hospital and into surgery.

According to the police report, two people fishing in the nearby Arkansas River reported hearing a single gunshot and then the sound of a car speeding off.
