ROMANCE, Ark. - A local custom meat processing and deer processing business has been destroyed by fire.
The Cypress Valley Meat Company on Wayne Walker Rd. in Romance (White County) went up in flames on Tuesday night.
Owner Steve Goode posted the news on Facebook:
"Wanted to let our friends and customers at Cypress Valley Meat Company know that our plant in Romance has burned tonight. Chris Shaw did a great job of getting everyone out of the building and we can't thank the local volunteer fire departments of Romance, Floyd, and El Paso enough for all of their efforts to try and save the building. If you have an animal that was scheduled for processing call us at our Vilonia location at (501) 796-2174, and we will make arrangements as soon as possible. Thank you for your support and understanding during this time."
According to its website, Cypress Valley Meat Company in Romance opened in August of 2011. The plant was formerly occupied by the Goss & Son Meat Company.
