LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A mother of two murdered sons said enough is enough, the violence on the streets must end.
Debra Smith lost her son Teboris in 1994 and her other son Anthony in 2009. Both to gun shot wounds. She said by telling her story, she hopes no one else has to go through what she has.
"You would think it would get easier but every year it hurts more and more to know what he's missing out on in life," said Smith unable to hold back tears.
Smith said strongly people need to put away the guns. She added that one shot, killing one person, has an impact on not just that person, but families, friends, and many others that were touched by the victim.
This week kicks off National Crime Victims Right's week. Smith said this is one way people can have their story heard, in hopes of protecting others from the pain they feel.
