LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The entrance to the Arkansas State Fair will look a little different this year for fair goers.
Security will be using metal detectors to check guests as they enter through the gate.
The metal detectors should make the process go faster than in years past when metal detecting wands were used, which slowed down entry and made for longer lines.
"When you're going through a metal detector, speeds up the process and I'm sure it will make folks feel very safe out here at the fairgrounds," Fair spokesperson Ralph Eubanks said.
The fair starts tomorrow at 4 p.m.
