Murdered Tourist's Family Arrives to LR From Italy

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- The family of 31-year-old Carlo Marigliano of Naples, Italy, arrived in Little Rock, Arkansas, Monday night around 9:45p.m.

The cousin of Carlo's father Ciro Marigliano translated for us at the airport. He said Carlo's father and family do not understand why he was killed and why he was in Little Rock.

They said he was a husband and father of a 2-year-old and 8-year-old. They said he came to America to visit friends who live in The States. They said he had been visiting friends on the west coast and was planning to meet his wife and children in Miami next week for a summer family vacation.

The family also said Carlo wanted to immigrate to America with his wife and kids  eventually because he loved America and traveled to visit America many times before.

Tomorrow the family said they will meet with police and claim their loved one's body.

LRPD Officer Steve Moore told us Monday," At this time it's still early in the investigation however we do not believe this victim was selected randomly or a victim of a random crime.  We can't go into a lot of detail you know just so we don't jeopardize the investigation."

The family said they do not have any idea why Carlo was murdered.
