No Heat Cancels School at Sylvan Hills High

SHERWOOD, Ark. - Students have been dismissed from classes soon after arriving Tuesday morning due to a broken heating system.

District officials say a boiler malfunction is to blame.

Temperatures outside were in the high teens in Central Arkansas.

The temperature inside most of the school got as low as 42 degrees, but other spots were reported to be warmer.

The boiler is expected to be repaired by later in the day.

This was the first day back from holiday vacation.
