North Little Rock Sees Uptick in Mailbox-Related Crimes

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Homeowners in one neighborhood in central Arkansas took to social media to warn their neighbors about mailbox tampering.

Neighbors say it happened along Osage and War Eagle in North Little Rock. They say they found mailboxes open and mail missing.

North Little Rock Police say they usually see an uptick in these crimes during the summer months.

"We even had a phase several weeks ago where people were actually removing packages in the community off their front doors," Sgt. Brian Dedrick, with the North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD), said.

Police say if you believe your mail has been stolen or tampered with, you should contact police immediately.
