One Dead in Wreck on Interstate 30 in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- One person is dead after a car crash early Sunday morning.

The driver of the vehicle has yet to be identified.

It happened on Interstate 30 East near the 138 mile marker shortly after 1:00 a.m.

According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, the 1999 Lincoln was traveling west in the eastbound lane when it ran off the road and struck a tree.

The vehicle caught fire after the crash.

The body has been sent to the coroner's officer for identification.
