Rabid Skunk Found in Garland County

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Authorities say a skunk found in Hot Springs today tested positive for rabies.  

The skunk was found on Songer Lane. 

According to the Arkansas Department of Health, this brings the number of confirmed rabies cases in Garland County to a total of seven, which include six bats and one skunk. 

Pet owners are reminded to vaccinate all dogs and cats that are at least four months old against rabies.
