POPE COUNTY, Ark. - A Russellville man has been sentenced to two terms of life in prison without parole for the murders of two Yell County men.
Tyler Barefield, 36, had been convicted in the case on Wednesday.
The bodies of Aaron Brock and Beau DeWitt, both 22, had been found in Sept. 2016 inside a crushed car at a salvage yard.
Barefield was also sentenced to 7½ years each for two firearms charges.
The life sentences will run concurrently and the firearms sentences will run consecutively.
Barefield had been out of jail on $850,000 bond before his conviction. He is now behind bars at the Pope County Jail awaiting transfer to a state prison.

POPE COUNTY, Ark. - An arrest has been made in connection with the murders of two men whose bodies were found in the trunk of a vehicle at a local salvage yard.
