Searcy's El Almacen Restaurant Approved to Serve Alcohol

SEARCY, Ark. - A local restaurant is celebrating that it will soon be allowed to serve alcohol to patrons.

On Wednesday, the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Board (ABC) approved "El Almacen's" application to become a private club.

The restaurant was intially denied for improper placement of the sign notifying customers the restaurant was applying for the license.

An ABC agent testified Wednesday that he approved the location of the notification.

The restaurant says they hope to start serving alcohol next month.
