LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Two teens and one adult are jailed on burglary and other charges after police say they were surprised by a man at home in a Tuesday afternoon break-in, fired a shot that missed him and then ran from the scene.
It happened shortly after 1 p.m. in the 9800 block of Woodland Dr. on the city's southwest side (Rolling Pines neighborhood just north of Shannon Hills).
The police report states that a 20-year-old man told officers he was playing a video game in a bedroom when he heard a loud noise and went to see what it was.
He said he encountered the suspects, who were armed with a handgun, in his kitchen.
A witness told police he saw three people run from the home and into a nearby home on Marietta Drive.
When police went to the Marietta Dr. home, a woman told them no one else was in the house. After officers spotted a man come out of a bedroom they went in and found two teens and a second man. All four were arrested. Three of them were charged with Terroristic Act, Burglary, and Aggravated Assault, including Octavious Wesson, 20, Stanley Bush, 14, and Marquan Smith, 15. They're being held at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility.
Also arrested was Alphonso Lanfair (photo below), 35, who police cited with Obstructing Governmental Operations and discovered he had a Failure to Appear warrant from Conway as well as a Parole Hold. He's now being held in the Faulkner County Detention Center.
