HUNTSVILLE, Ark. - Arkansas State Police (ASP) are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened Tuesday afternoon at Walmart.
Authorities say that around 5:25 p.m. they were called to Walmart to arrest Larry Harrelson, 42, for felony warrants and a parole violation.
When Huntsville Police officers attempted to block Harrelson's vehicle, he escaped by ramming two of the squad cars. Officers fired shots following the vehicles being rammed, however no one was injured.
Following the incident, Harrelson was able to leave the parking lot and drive towards the city. Soon after, an ASP trooper in the area spotted him and tried to pull him over. Harrelson did not stop.. beginning a short car chase.
Police were able to eventually stop Harrelson from fleeing without injury.
He was arrested on scene and taken into custody.
