Tanker Truck Spill Closes Hwy. 7 in Jasper

JASPER, Ark. (KNWA) - Cleanup crews are working along State Hwy. 7 in south Jasper after a tanker truck tipped over and spilled hazardous material.

A Newton County dispatcher says the tanker truck spilled ferric chloride, a chemical used in water treatment plants. 

We're told the spill has been contained.

The Arkansas Department of Transportation says Hwy. 7 is closed in the area.
