LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- The Trump administration is denying a report that the National Guard would be used for immigration round ups.
The report, which was released by the Associated Press Friday morning stated, the Arkansas National Guard would be one of a handful of state National Guard Troops that would crack down on illegal immigration.
Governor Asa Hutchinson says he has not had any communication with the administration about this.
"They are heavily deployed right now," said Gov. Hutchinson. "It would be a human resource drain on our national guard to give them any immigration or enforcement responsibilities."
The White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, is calling the draft "100 percent not true."
