UCA Student Accused of Dorm Rape

CONWAY, Ark. - A student at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) has been arrested after campus police investigate an alleged rape.

Michael Andrew Zeher, III, 18, of Bentonville, was charged after officers followed up on a report of an incident at Bear Hall early Friday (Sept. 8) morning.

According to a UCA Police Department report, officers were called to the dorm where Zeher and the alleged victim both live.

The report stated that the incident had happened about an hour before on the 4th floor. The alleged victim told officers that she suspected Zeher of "sexually assaulting her after a party at the Sigma Tau Gamma House."

Zeher was reported to have helped the woman get home because she "was intoxicated and was not feeling well."

The report also states that Zeher sent a Snapchat message to a friend which stated he was "having sex with" the woman.

While being interviewed by investigators, police say Zeher admitted that he had sex with the alleged victim, whom he described as "incoherent" at times during the encounter. When police asked why he had sex with her knowing it was wrong, Zeher stated that he had liked her for some time.
