POPE COUNTY, Ark. - A homicide victim whose body was found on Saturday has been identified as an Atkins man who had been reported missing earlier this month.
The Pope County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) says the victim is Jeremiah Murry, 45.
According to a missing person flyer, Murry had last been seen on Sept. 2 in the Pope County area.
The PCSO says Murry's body was found near 1649 Gold Hill Rd. along the tree line of a wooded area behind a home.
On Saturday afternoon, PCSO investigators identified a person of interest in the case as Daniel Joseph Hoffman, 29, and charged him with 1st Degree Murder.
