Update: Homicide Victim's Family Speaks Out

Update (November 6): 

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. - A Jacksonville family is in mourning as their loved one's killer is still on the loose. 

Christon Anderson, 25, or as his siblings called him "Scooby" was found shot to death south of the city limits early Sunday morning. 

Anderson's sister says his murder hit their family especially hard. Less than two months ago, their oldest brother LRPD officer Cedric Roy lost his fight against cancer. 

"We're still in pain from that we're still trying to get over that and for this to happen, it's hard, it's real hard," said Tamar Terry, Christon's sister. "And the holidays and everything. I don't know how we're supposed to get through it." 

Pulaski County detectives have released no suspect information at this time. 

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. - The name of a weekend homicide victim has been released by authorities.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says Christon Anderson, 25, was found dead early Sunday morning along Henderson Rd. just outside Jacksonville.

The PCSO did not release any additional details on the case.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. - A man is dead after a shooting in northern Pulaski County.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the deadly incident.

It happened shortly after 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Henderson Rd. and East Valentine, just south of the Jacksonville city limits.

The PCSO says when deputies arrived at the scene, they found the victim lying on a vacant lot.

Investigators say the man died at the scene. His body has been taken to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
