LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A local man is jailed on a string of charges after being accused of shooting another man on Tuesday night.
Michael Everhart, 39, faces charges of Battery, Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons,
Theft by Receiving, and Hold for Parole in the incident that wounded John Webb, 36, also of Little Rock.
The shooting was reported shortly after 5 p.m. in the area of 2800 Wolfe St. but the victim was found in the area of 7th & Marshall. Police say he had a bullet wound to his left shoulder and an exit wound on his neck. He was taken to the hospital and then into surgery. There are no further details on his current condition.
The police report states that Everhart was found lying on a lawn near 28th & Wolfe and that he was "acting erratic." Officers then noted Everhart appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance and placed him under arrest for disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice. Further investigation led police to change the initial charges filed against Everhart.
