Original story:

CONWAY COUNTY, Ark. - The Conway County Sheriff's Office is looking for the suspect behind a gas station robbery from December.

A gas station clerk in a small Arkansas town explains what happened the night a man apologized to her while he robbed her at gunpoint.

"Why are you doing this,....I'm sorry...Why are you doing this...I'm sorry."

The Conway County Sheriff's Office released surveillance video from Dec. 27, 2017 at the Center Ridge Quick Stop.

Sherryl Wiseman stayed calm and didn't let the robber scare her.

From a different camera you can see something the robber didn't--her 13-year-old granddaughter who was also in the store during the robbery.

Sherryl says she knew she needed to stay calm to keep her safe.

"She's pretty smart and I guess she thought the same way I did: "If I'm still, maybe he won't see me and grandma'll talk him out of it," says Sherryl Wiseman. "That, that was my main - I just knew I could talk him out of it: please, you know, you don't want to do this!"

If you recognize the man in this surveillance video call the Conway County Sheriff's Office.
