Original story:
CADDO VALLEY, Ark. - A Texas man is dead and his father hospitalized after an incident at an Arkansas gas station/truck stop. Officials are still investigating what exactly happened.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) says the incident that happened around 4:50 a.m. at the Pilot Travel Center in Caddo Valley. Deputies say the men are from Pleasanton, Texas.

Some have described it as a bloody scene at the gas station where an unknown conflict led to the younger one's death.

The father remains in the hospital Thursday.

We've learned a knife was involved but law enforcement aren't saying this was an attack or a fight; only that the son died from severe injuries to his neck area.

Investigators wouldn't elaborate on the circumstance of how the man, possibly in his 20s, died. Law enforcement suggest it's possible some of his injuries were self-inflicted.

Investigators hoped to talk to the father at a hospital in Little Rock to get a clearer picture that led to his son's death.
