Web Extra: LRPD Chief on Asher Shootings

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Two shootings within minutes of each other sent four people to the hospital on Monday.

The first incident was reported to have happened at Asher Ave. and Maple. The victim in that incident went to the UAMS emergency room by private vehicle.

The second incident was reported near Asher Ave. and Taylor Street. Police say a male and two females were shot inside a car. The male suffered a wound to the head and the females had wounds described as not life-threatening.

LRPD Chief Kenton Buckner told reporters it was too early to tell if the shootings were connected. His full interview with reporters is attached.

Earlier in the day Monday, the LRPD began investigating the city's 42nd homicide of the year when a man's body was found along 29th & Frontage very close to Interstate 30.
