SHREVEPORT, La. - Families and friends of three people killed in the Sunday night crash of a medical helicopter in Eastern Arkansas are mourning and remembering the victims.
A news release issued Monday morning by Pafford Medical Services identified them as Air Methods pilot, Michael (Mike) Bollen, 46, of Hot Springs; a Pafford flight nurse, James (Jim) Lawson Spruiell, 61, of Sulligent, AL; and, a Pafford flight paramedic (Trey Auld) John Auld III, 26, of Shreveport, LA.
On Monday, Auld's mother Kim Auld spoke to the media about her son.
"The last thing he ever wanted to be was a hero because the heroes were the ones who came before him and taught him the guys and women that are devastated in the area with us. But he is our hero," she said.
