BAXTER COUNTY, Ark. - The death of a woman found near a tractor she had been operating is being investigated as an accident.
The Baxter County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) says Tamara Sue Sexton, 49, of rural Mountain Home, was found in a field Thursday afternoon about 75 feet from a Kubota L3830 tractor with a brush hog attachment she had been seen driving earlier.
Deputies were called to the scene just before 4:30 at 559 Drake Lane.
The person who called for help after finding the woman reported that when he went to check on her he found the tractor backed into a tree with the brush hog attachment up against it. He said he did not find her immediately and then looked in the field. Sexton was taken by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
The BCSO says it's anticipated that the woman's body will be sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy to confirm cause and manner of death.
