Woman Survives Gunshot to Back in Hot Springs

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - A woman has survived being shot in the back in a late-night incident on Albert Pike Road.

The Hot Springs Police Department (HSPD) says the 55-year-old's injury (to the lower back) is not life-threatening.

Officers were called to the scene shortly before 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block and found the victim on a parking lot.

The shooting incident is still under investigation and anyone with information is urged to call the HSPD at (501) 321-6789.
