U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested two illegal immigrants in separate Hot Springs busts Wednesday morning.

The first man arrested was 50-year-old Cuauthemoc Sanchez-Lopez, who agents picked-up on his way to work near the intersection of Cove Street and Park Avenue. According to ICE agents, Sanchez-Lopez was convicted in Texas in 1993 for attempted burglary of a vehicle, and that counted as a probation violation for a 1992 Texas conviction for burglary of a habitation. Both are felony convictions. ICE agents say Sanchez-Lopez was deported in 1994, but then reentered the United States illegally and has since been arrested three times for driving under the influence.

"We definitely prioritize, you know, the worst criminals on down," said ICE Agent Andy Parker, pointing out that Sanchez-Lopez has been convicted of numerous felonies.

After Sanchez-Lopez's arrest, he told Fox16 about his 12-year-old daughter who lives in Arkansas and who Sanchez-Lopez says is an American citizen.

"I need protect my daughter, you know? I need pay my child support and see my daughter," he said, "and what you think I go do when guys put me on the other side of the line?"

Asked to clarify, Sanchez-Lopez said even if he is deported again, he plans to come back to the U.S. illegally.

"I don't care. People can kill me. I don't know what will happen. I going to come back."

The second man was arrested near the intersection of Central Avenue and Jamison Lane. Due to ICE policy, Fox16 can't release that man's name because he did not consent to it. ICE agents say he was convicted of a felony controlled substance violation in Texas in 2009 and was deported in November of 2010, but then illegally reentered the country before being arrested for driving under the influence in June 2012.

According to ICE agents, both of the men they arrested Wednesday will eventually be deported, but first, they will likely face federal prosecution.

follower; you are indeed naive! Don't read or watch the news much, do you? They indeed vote all the time, even though it's "illegal" for them to do so. trident is correct; you are the one looking foolish. Tired; I'm with you on this one; they put white and black constuction workers out of business some time back, now they are working their way into our factories. Mr. Barrett; could be part of Obama's socialist plan. Butch; no thanks, been there many a time, before it got dangerous; wouldn't want to live there though.

"Due to ICE policy, Fox16 can't release that man's name because he did not consent to it." A government agency can write its own "policies" that restrict journalists from publishing information? Since when does the media need permission to publish the name of someone who's been arrested?

I know how a bunch of you can get even. Move to Mexico. Boy you could really love it. That would show them. What I believe in is love thy neighbor. Does that mean next door, down the block, or in the next country.

Christfollower, this is why liberal democrats don't want identification required to vote. You are supposed to be a citizen to vote but dems want any and all votes illegal or not. I think you may be the one who looks foolish if you are that naive in this day and age.

Who really cares. I'm only using air here for a very short time. Don't look like their rap sheet is near as long as mine. They might make fine people to repopulate this part of the country. The ones here all stink. Big wave out to my good friend Carlos. See you soon brother.

As or Lonoke county, there is a rough bunch of unlawful illegal alien invaders that come in every night. P.S.: Am I the only commenter beating his brains out trying to type in the Fox 16 comment box? I type one letter and types another, skips or freezes up.

If they want more, the minnow ponds in Lonoke Country hire illegals. Check out any construction site; a popular fast food joint is putting up a new building at the main downtown intersection in Jax, who do you think is putting up the walls? You are so right golfdude!
