2 officers shot, 1 injured while serving warrant

Five people are injured including three police officers after an early morning shooting.
Little Rock police arrested seven suspects for shooting at SWAT Team officers. They were taken to Pulaski County jail.

Five people are injured including three police officers after an early morning shooting. It happened as the SWAT Team raided an apartment on Marshall Street.

As the Little Rock Police Department's SWAT Team approached to execute a search warrant for drugs, the people inside the upstairs apartment started shooting.

"One of the officers was shot twice, once in each leg, the second officer was shot in the midsection, but he had a vest on that protected his life. A third officer, a railing gave way and he fell one story to the ground," says Lt. Terry Hastings.

The officers shot two of the suspects. One received a life-threatening wound, the other is expected to survive.

During all of this, Tina Aadil's teenage daughter was in the apartment below.

"Just standing out here, my daughter being in the downstairs apartment, very scary, because a bullet could have come down and hit her," says Aadil.

Despite police hitting the same apartment a few months ago and finding drugs, Aadil says she had no idea what was going on up there. But some other neighbors did, and their complaints brought the SWAT Team.

Along with the two injured suspects, police took seven others into custody and found more drugs and guns.
