LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Two people charged in a drug and police corruption investigation in east Arkansas have entered guilty pleas in federal court.
Michael Wayne Webb and Marcus "Pig" Thompson entered pleas on Wednesday.
Webb pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm in the furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Thompson pleaded guilty to discharging a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
The men will be sentenced later at a date that is to be set by the court.
Five police officers and dozens of civilians were indicted last year in connection with the FBI-led probe into drug dealing and corruption, centered in Helena-West Helena and surrounding areas.
